1322 people will be taken in two posts by Bangladesh Rail

1,322 people will be appointed in two posts in the revenue sector of Bangladesh Railway. Of these, 560 will be recruited as assistant stationmasters and 72 as pointsmen. The eligibility to apply for the two posts is different. Candidates from all districts of the country can apply for the post of Assistant Station Master. Apart from Pabna and Lalmonirhat districts, candidates from other 62 districts will be able to apply for the post of pointsman. However, orphans and the physically challenged and railway pet quotas are open to candidates from all districts.

Assistant Stationmaster

To apply for the post of Assistant Stationmaster, the interested candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized university with at least second class or equivalent CGPS. Those who have reached the age of 18 on September 1 this year will be able to apply. Candidates who turned 30 on March 25 last year will also be eligible to apply. However, the maximum age limit for children of freedom fighters and physically challenged applicants is 32 years on the same day. The application for this post has already started. Applications can be submitted till 5 pm on November 22. If appointed to this post, the salary scale will be 9,800-23,490 rupees. Salary grade 15.

Pointsman

To apply for the position of Pointsman, one has to pass at least HSC or equivalent examination from a recognized board. In addition, the candidate must have a fit body. Candidates who turn 18 years of age on 15 November 2021 and 30 years on 25 March 2020 are eligible to apply. However, in case of sons and daughters of the heroic freedom fighter and the physically handicapped, even if the maximum age is 32, application can be made. Affidavit of age proof is not admissible.

Online application for the post of pointsman and submission of examination fee will start from 10 am on 23rd November. The last day of application is December 26. If appointed to this post, the scale in the 16th grade of the national salary scale will be 7,800-21,310 rupees.

Application procedure and fees

You have to apply for the two positions through the same website. Interested and eligible candidates should apply through this website www.br.teletalk.com.bd. After filling the online application form properly, you have to upload the photo and signature. Scan 300-300 size pictures and 300-60 size signatures should be scanned and added. After submitting the application form, an application copy with user ID, photo and signature will be given. Using this user ID, you have to submit the examination fee of Tk. 112 for the post of Assistant Stationmaster through Teletalk number and you have to submit the examination fee of Rs. Even if all the parts of the application form are filled and submitted, the application form will not be accepted till the examination fee is paid. The mobile number given by the candidate in the application form should be kept active at all times. Because, next time, all the information related to the test will be sent via text message to this mobile phone.

After applying, user ID and password will be sent via text message on mobile phone. Using it, you have to download the entry form with roll number, position name, photo, exam date, time and center name. This entry form must be shown at the time of participation in the written test and at the time of passing the oral test.

Candidates working in government, semi-government and autonomous organizations for the post of Assistant Stationmaster and Pointsman must apply through the appropriate authorities. Children of those who have worked in Bangladesh Railway for at least 20 years will get the benefit of pet quota. After passing the written test, one set of attested copy along with the original copy of all the certificates should be submitted during the oral test and one set of attested photocopies along with the completed application form should be submitted. Citizenship Certificate, Original Copy of National Identity Card and Original Copy of Bir Muktijoddha Certificate in case of Muktijoddha Quota should be submitted with the signature of Union Parishad Chairman / Municipality Mayor / City Corporation Ward Councilor as proof of permanent resident of the district.
